Future with "be going to" and "present continuous" - Nov 5, 2008

Class Do page 32, 33 and 34 from the workbook.

Homework Send me an email (pathy_garcia_uvm@yahoo.com) telling me what are your plans for the weekend. Eg. going to the movies, visiting someone, etc. You must include at least 8 activities.

Be going to and the present continuous are used to exprees future plans and arrangements.

Examples with Be Going To:

Tomorrow I am going to call the car service.
Next week the students are going to present their projects.

Examples with Present continous:

We're having leftovers this evening.
What are you doing tomorrow afternoon?
She isn't coming on Friday.

Write a letter of application simmilar to the one we did in class (the example is on the workbook)
